Great news! Somerset Farms has signed up with a free private online network called Nextdoor Somerset Farms. Neighbors that join this network will be able to share community events, recommendations, items for sale, crime reports, ideas about how to improve our neighborhood and more right here on our neighborhood website! The best part is that has built in privacy and security features. See FAQ below for details.

Click here to join our online network, or copy and paste this link into your brower: Please hurry! We will lose our online network if we don't have enough people sign up in the next 21 days! Feel free to spread the word and send the invite link to your neighbors.

What is Nextdoor

Nextdoor is the private social network for you, your neighbors and your community. It's the easiest way for you and your neighbors to talk online and make all of your lives better in the real world. And it's free.

Thousands of neighborhoods are already using Nextdoor to build happier, safer places to call home.

People are using Nextdoor to:

  • Quickly get the word out about a break-in
  • Organize a Neighborhood Watch Group
  • Track down a trustworthy babysitter
  • Find out who does the best paint job in town
  • Ask for help keeping an eye out for a lost dog
  • Find a new home for an outgrown bike
  • Finally call that nice man down the street by his first name

Nextdoor's mission is to bring back a sense of community to the neighborhood, one of the most important communities in each of our lives.

Nextdoor makes it safe to share online the kind of things you'd be okay sharing with your neighbors in person.

Here's how:

  • Every neighbor must verify their address.
  • Each neighbor signs in with their real name. Just like in person.
  • You choose where your information is shared.
  • Your website is securely encrypted using the HTTPS Internet protocol.
  • Information shared will never show up in Google or other search engines.
  • Nextdoor never shares your personal information with third-party advertisers.

 June 24, 2013

Dear Somerset Farms Homeowners,

We are writing to update you on the exciting changes, some of which you suggested, that are taking place in our subdivision.

All future Quarterly Homeowners’ meetings will be held at The Meadows which is located at 8044 Coley Davis Rd. We will be using their delightful and inviting sunroom. Our first meeting in our new venue will be held on July 16, 2013 from 7 pm-9pm. We hope you will come!

We are in contract negotiations with Jim Curley Properties to become our new property management company. The Board will continue to perform much of the financial, secretarial, and architectural review portions of the required responsibilities.

Our Somerset Farms’ website has been reactivated and the new address is We have it up and available to you, please be patient as we continue to develop the site. We welcome your input regarding what you would like to see on the new website.

Additional programs we are exploring include a newsletter, a summer picnic, a neighborhood watch and assistance with transportation to our meetings for those homeowners who do not drive. We welcome your participation in these programs and any other programs you would like to see organized. This will be a great way to meet your neighbors and make new friends.

Thank you for being patient with us as we continue to work our way through our reorganization and as we transition to a new Property Manager.

We look forward to seeing you on July 16th at 7pm to share your opinions and ideas and to and learn more about the direction of our community’s future.
